2. Kate Hackett, Tompkins County Planning Department, "Locally-led Education and Action for Protecting the Environment Roll Out and Implementation"
With funding from the Tompkins County Foundation, a team of educators is implementing LEAPE in four towns each year for the next three years (a total of twelve of the sixteen municipalities in the county). Leaders of this effort are from the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network, the Tompkins County Planning Department and the Center for the Environment at Cornell University. This presentation gives some tips for using LEAPE with local government officials based on the Tompkins County experience.
