SEED-BIOLOGY-L@cornell.edu is an electronic mailing list created for the purpose of fostering a world-wide exchange of seed biology research information. The name "Seed Biology" was chosen to attract the largest possible array of interest. Topics are not limited to seed biology; ecological and technological topics, as well as others, are also welcomed. Ralph L. Obendorf manages the mailing list which was established in April 1995. The list is co-sponsored by Division C-4 Seed Physiology, Production and Technology of the Crop Science Society of America, the USDA/CSREES Western Regional Cooperative Research Project W-168 "Seed Biology, Ecology and Technology" (USA), the Seed Biology Program at Cornell University (USA), and others. For administrative reasons only, subscription to the list is by approval. Subscription is free.

SEED-BIOLOGY-L@cornell.edu has more than 380 subscribers worldwide in at least 40 different countries including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Columbia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Mozambique, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Russia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela, and others, with approximately 40 states coast to coast in the USA.
