PRECISION AGRICULTURE ROUNDTABLE MEETING
and
PROGRESS REPORT
 
The meeting will focus on:
  •     Research progress and updates
  •     Farm management and information systems
  •     Advances and applications of GIS and mapping techniques
  •     Industry innovations
  •     Nutrient management
 

The day will begin with updates and presentations by researchers, industry representatives, and producers in a variety of fields.  Interested participants will have the opportunity to speak to the group about their experiences during an open forum. The afternoon will feature presentations on GIS tools for improved nutrient management, record keeping and planning for hands-on field activities in 2003.

 
Lunch will be provided with the $15 registration fee.

This is an excellent place to start if you are interested in downloading maps or other data for your farm, town or county.  You may want to use their map search and see what data is available for your area.

NYS GIS Clearinghouse

Check out this site for orthoimagery of New York State.  You can use their intereactive mapping tool to locate your home or fam and dowloand the images (be warned, they are large files).  The photos were taken between 1994 and 1999 have 1 meter resolution.
