Thesis Project : Indigenous soil and water conservation practices: a contribution for sustainable management of natural resources in Mozambique.

The research approaches will focus on the participation of farmers and other stakeholders in the design, research and development of soil and water conservation measures and on the use of their knowledge in the process of searching for appropriate and more adapted soil and water conservation practices to maintain or improve land productivity. This is expected to facilitate the dialogue between scientists and land users and would also accelerate the search for alternative solutions to land degradation problems through combination of indigenous and scientific knowledge.
