Planning and Reporting Research
Welcome!
If you have to write a research proposal, a thesis, or a manuscript
for publication, this course should be of interest to you. It
also will help you prepare and give oral presentations and develop
skills as a reviewer.
Course Catalog Description:
- CSS 695 -- Planning and Reporting
Research -- Spring. 2 credits.
Prerequisites: graduate student status or permission of the instructor.
Limited to 10 students.

- This course is designed to help students
in the biological sciences plan their research and report research
results. Emphasis is given to literature reviews, scientific
writing and reviewing (either thesis proposals, grant proposals,
or manuscripts for publication), and slide and poster presentations.
The nature of science and the scientific method are also discussed
along with professional ethics in the conduct and communication
of science. Seniors writing an honors thesis are welcome.
