&Arkport=The Arkport series consist of very deep, well drained soils formed in glacio-fluvial deposits having a high content of fine and very fine sand. These soils have thin horizontal bands of loamy material in the subsoil.& &Aurora=The Aurora series consists of moderately deep, moderately well drained soils formed in till. They are nearly level to very steep soils on dissected upland plateaus and bedrock-controlled till plains.& &Bath=The Bath series consists of very deep, well drained soils formed in till. They are nearly level to steep soils on uplands.& &Braceville=The Braceville series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in glacial outwash of stratified sand, silt, and gravel. They are on terraces, benches, fans, and moraines.& &Canandaigua=The Canandaigua series consists of very deep, poorly and very poorly drained soils formed in silty glacio-lacustrine sediments. These soils are on lowland lake plains and in depressional areas on glaciated uplands.& &Cayuga=The Cayuga series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in clayey lacustrine deposits overlying till. These soils are on undulating to hilly till plains where a thin veneer of lake-laid deposits overlie the till.& &Chenango=The Chenango series consists of very deep, well and somewhat excessively drained soils formed in water-sorted material on outwash plains, kames, eskers, terraces, and alluvial fans.& &Collamer=The Collamer series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in silty glacio-lacustrine sediments. They are on lake plains and till plains that have a thick mantle of lake sediments.& &Conesus=The Conesus series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in till. They are nearly level to moderately steep soils on till plains and glaciated dissected plateaus.& &Darien=The Darien series consists of very deep, somewhat poorly drained soils formed in Wisconsinan age till on till plains, drumlins, and moraines.& &Dunkirk=The Dunkirk series consists of very deep, well drained, silty soils on lake plains and along lower valley sides formed in glacio-lacustrine sediments.& &Eel=very deep, moderately well drained soils that formed in alluvium on flood plains and flood-plain steps.& &Erie=The Eel series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils that formed in alluvium on flood plains and flood-plain steps.& &Fredon=The Fredon series consists of very deep, poorly and somewhat poorly drained soils formed in glaciofluvial materials. Fredon soils are on outwash terraces. & &Genesee=The Genesee series consists of very deep, well drained soils that formed in loamy alluvium on flood plains.& &Halsey=The Halsey series consists of very deep, very poorly drained soils formed in glaciofluvial deposits on level or nearly level terraces and flood plains.& &Holly=The Holly series consists of very deep, very poorly and poorly drained soils formed in loamy alluvium on flood plains.& &Honeoye=The Honeoye series consists of very deep, well drained soils formed in till which is strongly influenced by limestone and calcareous shale. They are nearly level to very steep soils on convex upland till plains and drumlins.& &Howard=Howard soils consist of very deep, well drained and somewhat excessively drained soils formed in medium textured glacial outwash deposits. The soils are on valley terraces, outwash plains, kame moraines, and eskers.& &Hudson=The Hudson series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in clayey and silty lacustrine sediments. They are nearly level to very steep soils on convex lake plains, on rolling to hilly moraines and on dissected lower valley side slopes.& &Ilion=The Ilion series consists of deep or very deep, poorly drained soils formed in till which is strongly influenced by calcareous black shale or limestone and grayish shale. They are nearly level or gently sloping soils in depressions in upland till plains.& &Kendaia=The Kendaia series consists of very deep, somewhat poorly drained soils formed in calcareous till. They are nearly level to sloping soils on footslopes and other moderately low areas on till plains.& &Lamson=The Lamson series consists of very deep, poorly drained and very poorly drained soils formed in glacio-fluvial, glacio-lacustrine and deltaic deposits. They are level and nearly level soils in low areas on glacial lake plains.& &Langford=The Langford series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in loamy till. These soils are in glaciated upland areas. They are nearly level to moderately steep soils formed in till that is strongly influenced by limestone and calcareous shale. The till may be dense.& &Lordstown=The Lordstown series consists of moderately deep, well drained soils formed till and cryoturbated material derived from siltstone and sandstone on bedrock controlled landforms of glaciated dissected plateaus. They are nearly level to very steep soils on hillsides and hilltops in glaciated bedrock controlled uplands.& &Lyons=The Lyons series consists of very deep, poorly and very poorly drained soils on upland till plains in depressions and low areas in the landscape. They are occasionally in areas of seeps on gently sloping landscapes. They formed in calcareous till derived from limestone, calcareous shale and sandstone.& &Madalin=The Madalin series consists of very deep, poorly drained soils on lake plains and depressions in the uplands. They formed in water-deposited materials.& &Mardin=The Mardin series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in loamy till. They are in glaciated uplands, mostly on broad hilltops, shoulder slopes and backslopes. The Mardin soils have a dense fragipan that starts at a depth of 14 to 26 inches below the soil surface.& &Middlebury=The Middlebury series consists of very deep, moderately well drained nearly level soils formed in recent alluvium. These soils are on flood plains.& &Niagara=The Niagara series consists of very deep, somewhat poorly drained soils formed in silty glacio-lacustrine deposits. These soils are in level to slightly concave areas on lake plains and in valleys.& &Palmyra=The Palmyra series consists of very deep, well drained to somewhat excessively drained soils formed in glacial outwash. They are nearly level to very steep soils formed in loamy material overlying calcareous, stratified gravel and sand.& &Phelps=The Phelps series consists of very deep, moderately well drained soils formed in glacial outwash. They are nearly level and gently sloping soils formed in loamy material overlying calcareous, stratified gravel and sand.& &Red Hook=The Red Hook series consists of very deep, somewhat poorly drained soils formed in Wisconsinan age glaciofluvial deposits on outwash plains and terraces, stream terraces, and moraines.& &Rhinebeck=The Rhinebeck series consists of very deep, somewhat poorly drained soils formed in clayey lacustrine sediments. They are on glacial lake plains and uplands mantled with lake sediments. & &Sloan=The Sloan series consists of very deep, very poorly drained soils formed in loamy alluvium on flood plains.& &Tioga=The Tioga series consists of very deep, well drained soils formed in alluvium on higher positions in flood plains.& &Tuller=The Tuller series consists of shallow, somewhat poorly drained soils that formed in thin deposits of till over acid sandstone, siltstone or shale bedrock. These soils are in depressional areas of flatter hilltops and benched sideslopes of dissected uplands. Depth to bedrock is 10 to 20 inches.& &Valois=The Valois series consists of very deep, well drained soils on nearly level to steep lateral moraines along lower valley sides. They formed in till dominated by sandstone, siltstone, or shale.& &Volusia=The Volusia series consists of very deep, somewhat poorly drained soils formed in loamy till. These soils are on concave to planer landscape positions in glaciated upland areas. A dense fragipan is at a depth of 10 to 22 inches below the soil surface.& &Wayland=The Wayland series consists of very deep, poorly drained and very poorly drained, nearly level soils formed in recent alluvium. These soils are in low areas or slackwater areas on flood plains.& &Williamson=The Williamson series consists of deep, moderately well drained soils on lake plains and uplands. They are nearly level to sloping soils formed in silty or very fine sandy lacustrine or eolian deposits.&
